Unfinished Frames
Test frames, chemistry mistakes, and rolls left unfinished. A short archival series about the useful parts of what does not work.
Every year I keep the rolls I never finished — sometimes only three or four exposed frames, then a long strip of blank film. This series is a small selection of those partial rolls.
The prints are made from the exact strip as it came out of the developer, sprocket holes and edge markings included. Nothing is cropped.
The series is intentionally short (nine prints) and is shown once a year in a small room during winter.
A photocopied brief essay is folded into each print sleeve.
