An Unplanned Garden
A rural garden photographed over one growing season, without a shot list. Just visits, weather notes, and whatever was already there.
The garden belongs to a neighbour who stopped planning it three years ago. It is the tidiest untidy place I know.
I visited once a week from March to October and only photographed what had appeared on its own — poppies, tall grass, the returning bees, the old cold frame slowly leaning.
The final set is fifteen colour prints on cotton, 24 × 30 cm. Edition of ten. A short introduction by the gardener is folded into each portfolio.
The complete boxed set is available; individual prints can also be pulled to order.
